Tahitian Noni International
In 1993, a food scientist named John Wadsworth, learned of noni and began researching it. His research took him to the islands of Tahiti where he learned first hand from the Tahitians about this fruit. Through years of painstaking research and development, John and his fellow food scientist Stephen Story was able to develop and patent a process to produce Tahitian Noni® Juice, now known as Tahitian Noni® Original™ Juice in a way that preserves the vital nutrients that make it beneficial to the body. Some two years after their discovery John and Stephen prepared to launch this new company when they were introduced to two network marketing experts to the team, Kim and Kerry Asay who immediately recognized the importance and potential of this product. Kerry began to formulate a plan to found a unique company whose only mission would be to bring to the world the important secrets of the Noni plant. The name of the company was simply, Morinda®, derived from the scientific name of the Noni plant, Morinda Citrifolia. Morinda® is now referred to as Tahitian Noni International, Inc.
Kerry began to surround himself with experienced and honest individuals from the network marketing industry. Together this dream team, as some have put it, has put in place a company truly worthy of the product which is at the heart of the entire process.
The final piece of the puzzle came in May of 1996 when Kelly Olsen, a recognized marketing genius, joined the team. These five founders launched the company in July of 1996 based and introduced the secret the Polynesian people had known about for centuries in the form of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice.
Tahitian Noni International has a rich history. The Noni plant has been used by the ancient Polynesian people for its amazing health benefits for over 2,000 years. The knowledge of this plant and its beneficial properties remained a secret of the Polynesian people for centuries until a modern-day scientist, Dr. Ralph Heineke, began initial studies on the fruit in the late 1970’s. But, even at this point, the Noni plant remained a secret to the Western world. Today, our company mission is to bless the whole earth with the natural goodness of TAHITIAN NONI® as we Tell the Story of lives transformed.
